In the second batch of 2008 technological Business Start Fund for Shanghai University Students that were recently held, 3 SHNU students won the ticket for a further approval, namely, Online Sports Shopping Mall from SHNU College of Life and Environmental Science, Feixun Digital Co. Ltd. from SHNU College of Fine Arts, and Bosswell Information Consultation Co. Ltd., from SHNU College of Mathematics and Science. This program is sponsored by a foundation of Shanghai Technological Business Start Center, which arms at awarding 10 programs in all.
The candidates shall go through interview, evaluation procedures, followed by a mock defense. In 2006, a SHNU student won RMB200, 000 Yuan (Around 28,600 USD). The past 3 years witnessed an average successful application rate of 75 percent, leaving far beyond the municipal 34 percent. (Trans. by Rebecca) |
