New Term for 500 Odd International Students

       On September 4th, the New-term Beginning Ceremony for SHNU International Students was held, attended by SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei, and leaders from SHNU International College of Chinese Studies, and Humanities and Communications College.
         Mr. Lu delivered a gracious speech at the ceremony, and students from Japan, Vietnam, France, ROK, and Thai spoke about their campus life and study in both Chinese and their mother tongues.
This fall, SHNU enrolled the first lot of 15 international students from Russia, France, Poland, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan winning National Scholarship from China’s Ministry of Education, with another 12 students carried away with SGS (Shanghai Government Scholarship).
        So far, 450 students have registered for further education program, 50 for undergraduates, 15 for postgraduates, who hail from 30 different countries. According to statistics, a majority of international students in SHNU are from ROK, Indonesia, Japan, Thai and France.
