According to the statistics of CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure)，SHNU Journal (Social and Philosophical Edition) stands ahead of almost all the other normal universities in China, only next to Journal of Beijing Normal University.
The year 2007 witnessed 73 papers of SHNU Journal republished by 12 kernel magazines, including Xinhua Digest, Chinese Social Science Digest, Guangming Daily and China University Periodical Digest etc. In accordance with Guangming statistics, SHNU ranks the twelfth among all the universities in China in terms of 3,000 university periodicals republished by Information Data Center of China Renmin University.
