SHNU: On June 3, a delegation from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), headed by President Jolene Koester, was received by SHNU President Li Jin and Vice President Lu Jianfei. On behalf of SHNU, Li expressed his hope of conducting a more open, effective and all-dimensional cooperation with CSUN. President Koester analyzed the foundation of cooperation and probed into possible fields of future cooperation between the two universities. CSUN is a vibrant, diverse university community of nearly 34,000 students and more than 4,000 faculty and staff, sited on a 356-acre campus in the heart of San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles. It has been in cooperation with SHNU for over 10 years in such areas as exchange visit of university authorities, exchange programs of teachers, students, and joint interscholastic education. Presently 4 students of Financial College SHNU are studying in CSUN and 6 more students will be sent there in 2009. (Trans. by Jessica) |
