On May 30th, a delegation of 5 led by Jiang Weiyi, SHNU Vice Party Secretary, and Wang Lianhua, SHNU Vice President made their way to Red Cross Society of China, Shanghai branch for transferring the 2nd lot of funds ￥2,000,000 (the first ￥600,000 was donated on May 15th).
Jiang briefed on the prompt reactions of SHNU staffs and students, such as donation, charity sale, performance and movie shows etc. Wang extended on behalf of SHNU that the funds should be earmarked for reestablishment of the disaster-stricken schools, and also a long-term assistance of high quality teachers, student societies, equipment and finance shall be provided for local education.
