Recently, China’s Leading Group for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language has corresponded a nodding for SHNU to collaborate with University of Botswana to found a Confucius College in Africa. A bilateral executive pact shall be signed, and teaching staffs shall be sifted to turn this college into an indigenously kernel institution for promoting Chinese culture and language teaching. Founded in 1982, University of Botswana boasts a student volume of over 16,000, which plays a pivotal role in promoting friendship and enhancing Sino-African cultural exchanges. (Trans. by Rebecca) |
