On May 25th, the Joint Conference for 8 Normal Universities in China has drawn to a close in SHNU. The school authorities headed by Zhou Honggang and Li Jin attended the opening ceremony held on the 23rd of this May. Li extended his gratefulness to all the concerns and bolsters from the eight normal universities, followed by an introduction to the history and development of SHNU, its current reforms and education achievements, its perennial difficulties and blueprint etc. As the linchpin of teacher education and training in Shanghai, SHNU is duty-bound to contribute more to the construction of a socialist harmonious community. Discussions were held after the ceremony on education patterns, teaching efficiency, teacher education reform and development, and the topics alike. It involved participants from Harbin Normal University, Hunan Normal University, South China Normal University, Liaoning Normal University, Nanjing Normal University, Capital Normal University and Tianjin Normal University.
