SHNU: “I don’t have much money, but this is what I can do to repay the society and those who have helped me”, such were the simple but inspiring words from a donator. On May 21, accompanied by 2 students of the College of Education, Shi Zhiquan, a blind student came to the Office of Communist Youth League Committee of SHNU with ￥1000 in his pocket. Shi learned of the tragedy in Sichuan from the radio and was quite sympathetic with the people there. He asked the Committee to pass the money as well as his best wishes to Sichuan and hoped the quake-stricken area would be reconstructed as early as possible. (Trans. by Jessica) |
