On May 13th, SHNU Working Meeting of Basic Education Group was held, attended by SHNU president Li Jin, SHNU vice president Xiang Jiaxiang, head of SHNU Basic Education Development Center, principals and party secretaries of all the attached school to SHNU. Li Jin was quoted as saying that the attached schools constitute an indispensable part of SHNU, and it is our common aspiration for the basic education group to be an ideal lab where we can experiment or do internship; moreover, it shall be a key base of scientific research. Xiang elaborated on the platform, opportunity, outlook of teacher education, and focus of basic education group work. This year’s kernel of basic education shall be summarized as a further rearrangement of internal education resources into attached middle and primary school, experimental school, and foreign languages school etc; a SHNU mentor group for consultation of basic education will be founded, and close operation in scientific research with other middle and primary schools shall be made; moreover, the framework shall be laid out for Shanghai Professional Teacher Training Development Programs of New Countryside.
