On May 23rd and 24th, 70 students hailing from SHNU College of Physical Education relayed in Shanghai the torch for 2008 Beijing Olympics. 10 SHNU students were winnowed to be ready for the Olympian transmission of sacred flame in Shanghai as early as way back in April 28th this year. Their efforts made in VIP contact and reception, certificate producing, mock practice of torch-bearing, floats, and mascots role-playing, impressed the heads of Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League and Shanghai Sports Bureau with unanimous compliments. Currently, 2 students from SHNU College of Physical Education have been dispatched to Beijing as Olympic volunteers, 6 for the soccer program. All cannot wait to plunge into the forthcoming volunteer service work.
