SHNU: The meeting on disciplinary building of our university was held on May 7. Heads of the Department of Graduate Student Affairs, Department of Social Sciences, Department of Science and Technology, and those of relevant colleges were present. SHNU vice president Li Hexing presided over the meeting. Li conveyed the spirit of the Meeting on Presidents of the Institutions of Higher Learning of Shanghai that was held on the other day in our university. He required all colleges of our university to make their own plans for the disciplinary building from 2008 to 2020. He said the plan should display the needs, features and advantages of the disciplines which would serve as the foundation of the overall development of the university. Meanwhile, he requested that the disciplinary building plans be implemented fully so that the work of our university in this respect could be further promoted. (Trans. by Jessica) |
