SHNU: News came that Shanghai Traffic Bureau would set up a direct bus line from the Fengxian university area to Xing’an Road in the downtown area of Shanghai, where subway line 8 is available. Thanks to the proposal on traffic situation of Fengxian university area made by Li Jin, our university president, and Qi Xueyin, the Party secretary of Shanghai Institute of Technology during the two conferences (NPC and CPPCC), university students in Fengxian could enjoy a more convenient life in the near future. As East China University of Science and Technology and Shanghai Institute of Technology have opened up new campuses in Fengxian this year, the total number of university students there was expected to reach 60,000 in 2 or 3 years. However, due to the inconvenient traffic in the suburban area of Fengxian, there are not reasonably designed bus lines at present to ease the difficulty of communication.
