Research Project of SHNU Professor Funded by Huo Yingdong Education Foundation

SHNU: It is reported that the research project of Song Lihua, professor of College of Humanity and Communications of our university, passed the appraisal of experts and would be funded by Huo Yingdong Education Foundation. The project was entitled Research into the Novels Written in Chinese Vernacular Language by Westerners in the 19th Century. Song was one of the 11 teachers of humanities disciplines who got the sponsorship from the foundation.

    Huo Yingdong Education Foundation was named after Huo Yingdong, vice chairman of CPPCC and famous entrepreneur in Hang Kong. He jointly established the foundation with the Ministry of Education of China in 1986. The Foundation aims at encouraging young teachers in institutions of higher learning to do excellent research work by offering sponsorship and various opportunities.
