On April 29th, SHNU teachers and students succeeded in cooperating with people from Kangjian Community (Kangjian Street Neighborhood) to stage a fabulous gala themed with Harmony towards Olympics, to commemorate the final 100 day for the opening of Olympics. Huang Gang, SHNU vice party secretary, attended the activity with other representatives of the Kangjian Community. Performances were staged by both SHNU teachers, students and the residents from the neighboring blocks as well, in multifarious forms of singing, solo dancing, Shanghai singing opera, tenor, chorus, yangge (a Chinese folk group dance for cheering festivals), and Chinese martial arts, etc. All these aimed to boost the national patriotism of the audience.
