On April 26th, Seminar on Contemporary Chinese Cultural Development and Values Orientation was held in SHNU. Those who attended the seminar included Li Jin, SHNU president, leaders from Shanghai municipal government, and over 80 experts and postgraduates from Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, East China Normal University, Tongji University, Shanghai Academy of Social Science, Nanjing Academy of Political Science, East China University of Science and Technology, etc. The theme of the seminar is interpreted as socialist core values system, contemporary Chinese cultural development, values orientation study of 30 years of cultural development since the opening-up and the reform, social obligations of mass media, and moral education of pop stars and adolescents. The seminar is one of the series activities of Marxist Study Forum in Shanghai, which serves as a new platform for the exchanges of Marxist theories.
