SHNU: The cultural education series activity with its tenor of promoting Chinese culture through celebrating traditional festivals were held on Fengxian Campus on April 23. SHNU vice Party secretary and vice president Jiang Weiyi, vice president Huang Gang, and relevant people of Fengxian Campus participated in it. Jiang unveiled the magic ball – symbol of the series activity to announce its opening. There was a central stage and seven thematic areas in which 7 Chinese traditional festivals in line with the time of their celebrations were displayed. The festivals included the Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, the Qingming Festival (or Tomb-sweeping Day), the Dragon Boat Festival, Double Seventh Night, Mid-autumn Festival, and the Double-Ninth Day. The activity integrated entertainment and cultural education and concerned many themes including memorizing one’s old friends, respecting the old, patriotism, love, etc. Different programs were so eye-catching that students were attracted to take part in them, which made them know better about traditional Chinese culture.
