SHNU: On April 23, an expert group sent by Shanghai Education Commission came to check the work of adult higher education of our university. SHNU leaders including Zhou Honggang, Li Jin, Xiang Jiaxiang, Gao Jianhua and heads of relative departments and colleges attended the meeting. SHNU president Li Jin extended welcome to the experts. He said we have been attaching great importance to adult higher education and have done a lot of work in this respect. He hoped the experts would point out problems and offer experience as to how to promote the development of adult higher education of our university. SHNU vice president Xiang Jiaxiang made a keynote report in which he introduced our work on adult higher education in 4 aspects: history and status quo, school-running orientation and guiding ideology, the management system of teaching affairs, and features and experience. He said we were willing to contribute to a better development of adult higher education in Shanghai with joint efforts of other sister universities. After careful examination, the experts gave a high evaluation of the adult higher education of our university, and they also proposed suggestions as to how to do our work better in this respect.
