SHNU: Recently, a hundred-odd professors, with Sun Jingyao, Guo Benyu and Sun Xun taking the lead, jointly signed an initial written proposal calling on all the staff and students of our university to be frugal and energy-saving. The proposal read like this: all students and staff of SHNU should save every one kilowatt-hour of electricity, every drop of water, every piece of paper, every grain of rice, and make full use of all the resources. With the passage of time, the idea of building an energy-saving campus has taken root in the minds of most people of SHNU. We have every reason to believe that every teacher and student of our university will serve as an example in practicing frugality and help publicize energy-saving awareness.
