On the afternoon of November 14th, the China-CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) ForumonEducation Development, themed "Jointly Promoting Educational Development and Building a China-Latin America Community with a Shared Future," was held at the Beijing National Convention Center. Deputy Minister of Education Xiong Sihao attended the event and delivered a keynote speech. Ministers of education from Brazil, Cuba, and other countries, as well as university presidents from multiple institutions in China and Latin Americaalso delivered presentations.
The opening ceremony of the Latin America College of the Global College of Teacher Development was held. Deputy Director of the Teacher Work Department of the Ministry of Education, Zhao Xin, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Ministry of Education, Zhao Lei, and Vice President of Shanghai Normal University, Li Ye, jointly inaugurated theevent.
The establishment of the Latin American Institute of the Global Teacher Development Academy at SHNUwill fully leverage the institution's strengths in teacher education and international exchanges. It aims to foster collaboration and professional development in education with Latin American countries, promoting mutual educational advancement.
