April 16th’s issue of Wenhui Daily reports on SHNU College of Continuing Education serving China’s western regions. It is summarized as follows:
This program of volunteer service will start in this June; also, SHNU College of Continuing Education shall soon begin its scheme of cultivating undergraduate students to be teachers involved in primary school education in Yunnan Province southwest of China. Since 2005, this college has dealt with quite a few supporting programs, boasting a trainee group of over 800. In the aim of adjusting to society-oriented talents, it has devoted to developing more up-to-date training plans. So far, it has claimed 27 programs, ranging from human resources management, land resources management, and education management etc, all of which are of significance to China’s western development. In the recent 3 years, it has funded about 500 students from Yunan autonomous region for their short-term training in SHNU. (By Rebecca) |
