Conflict Management Experts from Australia Visits SHNU

          Peter Condliffe, senior mediator of Australia Victorian Barrister and LEADR, mediator and arbitrator of International Artist Managers' Association (IAMA), and part-time professor of the College of Accounting and Law from RMIT University (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology), delivered on April 15th the first lecture titled Why has alternative dispute resolution(ADR)become so popular in Australia and other western countries..
          He illustrated on the definitions of ADR, its role in the process of western development, and the academic issues needed to be addressed by talking about the flaws involved in ADR.
          There shall be 3 other academic talks to be given on the both campuses of SHNU, which are respectively about western judicial system, cultural factors in negotiation and conflicts, and strategies and skills of negotiation from a western perspective, all of which are part of the SHNU Overseas Scholar’s Forum program.
