16 Apr 2008

With over 15 years of history, the painting and calligraphy major of SHNU’s College of Continuing Education has been devoted to Chinese adult education, and some of the graduates are now among the elites of Chinese painters and calligraphers.
Since its founding in 1993, the adult education of painting and calligraphy major has produced a large number of talents. Now there are over 600 college students and undergraduate students here studying traditional Chinese painting, calligraphy and seal carving, which stand out heads and shoulders over its counterparts in Shanghai.
Well-known experts have been attracted to teach here, and half of the students are middle or primary school teachers. Also, some migrant workers lacking a decent diploma have found their niches in the kingdom of painting and calligraphy, holding shows for more than a couple of times.
Now this college of SHNU boasts of being titled Top A College of the University by Zhabei District branch of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Education.
