On April 14th, a delegation led by Dr. Alan Boyette, Vice Provost of University of North Carolina at Greensboro visited SHNU, and was received by Lu Jianfei, SHNU Vice President .
Lu extended his heart-felt thanks to the efforts North Carolina made in promoting the bilateral cooperation, and hoped that fields of exchange could be broadened. Preliminary common grounds have been reached as regards Chinese language education and exchange of teachers,etc. First founded in 1891, North Carolina boasts of being among the top 351 universities across America by Princeton statistics, with a total student number of 17,000. In 2007, it came up the 2nd in ranking of education consultation and service, and the 3rd in sports psychology. There are 6 SHNU teachers dispatched to Carolina for cooperative programs and teaching.
