On April 11th, the 2008 Seminar on Sino-Foreign Education Patterns was held in our university. The seminar was co-hosted by the College of Finance and the Department of International Affairs, and attended by Susan Goutet, head of the college of Applied Foreign Languages, Communications and Business of Pascal University of France, leaders of the Municipal Education Commission of Shanghai, and all the teachers and students of the College of Finance of our university. SHNU vice president Xiang Jiaxiang said that the cooperation in the educational field accounts much in the 21st century, and this forum offers a fabulous opportunity for both parties to know more about the concept of international cooperation so as to broaden the scope and raise the standard of the cooperation. Goutet reviewed the cooperative programs we have already carried out and came up with a future prospect of them. The forum shall last for one week, during which theme reports, group discussions and seminars will be held on a variety of topics in the realm of education. (By Rebecca) |
