Representatives of Teachers and Students Mourn He Baogen at Long Hua

As one of the theme education activities for Shanghai students during the period of Qing Ming Festival (for the memory of the dead), the memorial ceremony for Martyr He Baogen was held in the hall of Long Hua Mausoleum Garden on April 2nd. Li Xuanhai, Party Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Science and Education, and Xue Mingyang, Director of Shanghai Commission of Education, arrived on the scene to pay homage to He Baogen and laid fresh flowers at his tomb.
         Huang Gang, vice party secretary of SHNU made a speech in which. He said that the late Mr. He was our role model as a teacher, colleague and brother, whose lofty and courageous spirits touch the hearts of millions of people, leaving a cherished legacy to SHNU teachers and students. It was time that we inherited his will and strived for greater progress in developing spiritual civilization of our university.
         Relatives and friends of the martyr, all the teachers of the Department of Geography where He used to work, and representatives of new teachers from the 17 colleges and departments of SHNU also attended the ceremony.
