Professor from Japan Doshisha University Speaks at ’08 Xuesihu Overseas Scholar Forum

           On March 18th, Mr. Kohara, professor of Japan Doshisha University, delivered an academic speech themed as the Importance of Contemporary Study of Social Religion, at the invitation of SHNU 2008 Xuesihu Overseas Scholar Forum. Lu Jianfei, vice SHNU president, attended the speech with teachers in majors related to religion.
           Mr. Kohara outlined the features of global development of religion since the 20th century, and illustrated the nature of keystone political and social cruxes, from the perspective of religion, and summarized the goals of 21st century religious study by commenting on the relationship of nation and religion.
Kohara’s fabulous perceptions on religion gave rise to rounds of applause that reigned the lecture hall.
