SHNU: The government of Fengxian District paid much attention to the development and construction of the universities and colleges in Fengxian Bay. The government sent representatives from the Development and Reform Commission (DRC) to conduct an on-spot investigation. They held a discussion meeting with the functional departments of East China University Of Science And Technology, Shanghai Institute of Technology and our university. The attendants all agreed that the development of universities in Fengxian District was an indispensable part in the development and construction of Fengxian District. Representatives of universities said they would provide support to the development of Fengxian District in terms of talents, teachers and techniques. Officials of DRC introduced the plan on developing the neighborhood areas of the university zone. They said the government was willing to provide more public services to universities, including traffic, housing, medical care, etc. Besides, more practice and training opportunities would be offered to students.
