The reporter came to our university and interviewed students in the canteen. “It is quite acceptable to spend 15 yuan on three meals a day.” A girl said. The interview has showed that students of our university are satisfied with the present food price. For example, among over 40 kinds of food, nearly 20 are less than 2 yuan. Besides, the canteen provides free soup. “Since 2007, we have allocated 1 million RMB to stabilize the food price and done everything possible to curb the price hike. SHNU president Li Jin said, “With these measures, we would be able to maintain the price, quality and quantity of food in the student canteens.” It is reported that the food prices in universities and colleges in Shanghai are generally stable with effective measures.
