An awarding ceremony was held to commemorate the 98th anniversary of March 8th, the International Women’s Day. SHNU leaders Li Jin, Ruan Xingshu, Jiang Weiyi, Huang Gang, Xiang Jiaxiang, Lu Jianfei, Zhang Guofeng, Yang Weiwu, and Wang Lianhua attended the ceremony and conferred the awards.
Li Jin, SHNU president, sang high praise of women’s role in the development of SHNU, for women teachers and administrative staff have been, as always, contributing sparkling wisdom to the university. At the meeting, one pair of couple scooped the special reward by winning a landslide victory, and 10 other pairs carried off with the title of Prize Couple. Dances were staged after the ceremony, with representatives of different departments, colleges and part of the male staff as audience. (By Rebecca) |
