The 2008 SHNU ten projects have been decided on and initiated. They are as follows: 1. Establish information system of students education management in terms of dormitory management, employment, assistance working reward and psychological consulting; 2. Grant one-off house-purchasing subsidy to young teachers earlier than planned; 3. Improve office and education conditions of retirees; 4. Set up funds for migrant workers concerning job training, mutual assistance, poverty lifting, health care, etc. 5. Perfect the transportation conditions of Xuhui Campus; 6. Set up self-assisting ticket system for students taking university shuttles, and ensure sufficient numbers of buses available; 7. Install technology safety system on Fengxian campus, covering teaching buildings, administration building and students’ dormitories; 8. Improve living facilities on Fengxian campus by renewing the dorm sewage system and public toilets, as well as the river bridge; 9. Improve library conditions. A reading room for Hongkong and Taiwan published books and materials to be set up, electronic reading facilities to be upgraded on Fengxian campus, and self-assisting locker and drinking-water suppliers to be provided; 10. Design signs for the newly-built teaching lab building and unify the logos, collecting names from all the buildings on both campuses. (By Rebecca)
