The announcement for 2007 SHNU Ten Deeds of Civilization was published: “warm-heartedness for lifting poverty in Baise of Guangxi Province” from the College of Music, “catching the thief with courage and wisdom” from the College of Mechanic Engineering, “assisting the disabled with loving care from the Department of Equipment”, “sending books to the borderline soldiers and local school” from the Department of Library, “tender care for children of migrant workers” from the College of Physical Education, “subway volunteers for harmonious world exhibition” from the College of Architecture Engineering, “dedicating free blood to save more people’s lives” from the College of Politics and Law, “love for minority and poverty students” from the Department of Students’ Work, “fire fighting” from the College of Foreign Languages, “teacher care for students” from the College of Life and Environment. He Baogen, professor from the College of Tourism who sacrificed his life for his students in the waters of Cong Ming Island, was conferred the special reward.
In addition, 4 other good deeds were awarded as nomination rewards. 24 deeds of 17 departments and colleges competed in this round, which shall be a paragon for more forthcoming ones. (By Rebecca) |
