On March 4th, Li Jin, SHNU president, met with a delegation of 5 led by Sharon Herzberger, president of Whittier College of USA, and extended welcome for their visit before he briefed on the basics of SHNU. Li said that SHNU had been always laying great emphasis on international cooperation. Whittier College has a lot in common with our university, burst with every possibility to have exchange with us in such fields as music, education and legal science, etc., Herzberger also talked about the exchange program for bilateral teachers and students with head of relevant colleges of SHNU. Founded in 1887, Whittier College is located in the picturesque inland of South California, boasting its pride graduates of the 37th American president Richard Nixon. It shows strengths in art disciplines such as education and legal science, highlight the cultivation of students’ oral and written capabilities.
