SHNU: Dr. Xi Kaiyuan, lifetime professor of the Business College of Chicago University and honorary professor of Psychology of our university, was invited to deliver an academic lecture entitled “Relationship between Psychology and Eudemonology”. Prof. Xi started his lecture with the research value of Eudemonology and systematically introduced its several macro research fields before he analyzed the application of this subject. Many examples from the daily life were cited to explain how people could promote their sense of happiness by avoiding or seeking the uncertainty of different things. Deeply impressed by his profound theories in simple and humorous language, the students gained more understanding of the new research field of Eudemonology. (Trans. by Jessica)
