SHNU: The Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Spring Term was held on Feng Xian Campus on Feburary 26. SHNU leaders including Li Jin, Jiang Weiyi, Huang Gang and Xiang Jiaxiang attended the ceremony. Also present were heads from relevant departments and colleges. Vice president Xiang Jiaxiang hosted the ceremony. SHNU President Li Jin spoke at the ceremony. He extended hearty welcome to the new students and required them to know 4 “hows”, namely, how to study, how to deal with things, how to get along with others and how to be a person of value to the society. He also encouraged the freshmen to be confident and goal-oriented so that they can make a scientific plan for the four-year campus life and contribute their lot to our country. Representatives of teachers, the old and new students also spoke to share their feelings in the ceremony. After the opening ceremony, Cong Yuhao, head of Department of Academic Affairs and Jiang Mingjun, head of Student Affairs’ Department, conducted the orientation program to the new comers.
