SHNU, Feb. 21: A delegation from Hunter College of City University of New York (CUNY) came to our university today and met heads of the College of Education and Foreign Languages College. Among the delegates were Doctor Anne M. Ediger, head of School of Education, Hunter College of CUNY, and Doctor Hu Yang, associate professor of English Education. The two sides introduced to each other the features, advantage disciplines and expected areas of cooperation of their own colleges, and reached agreement on such fields as programs of student exchange and collaborative researches of teachers. The guests also paid a visit to the College of Education after the meeting. Hunter College, located in the heart of bustling Manhattan, is the largest among 21 colleges in the CUNY system. Founded in 1870, Hunter is also one of the oldest public colleges in the country. Currently, 21,000 students attend the College, pursuing both undergraduate and graduate degrees in more than 170 different programs of study. (trans. by Jessica)
