More than 3000 Students Join Social Practice Activities in Winter Holidays

21 Feb 2008

The new term heralds the end of social practices in winter holidays. Themed with Warm-heartedness in Winter Days by  comforting the old, caring the young, funding the education, and relieving the poor, 43 various activities of social practice have been carried out during winter holidays, involving 3083 students in all.
This program of social practice falls into five parts: being filial, loving, caring, patient, and persistent. The volunteers spent
the Chinese Spring Festival with students whose hometowns were outside Shanghai. They visited retired teachers and old-aged people from the geracomium, and offered service to the local communities, such as caring the children from charity house, and talked with officers and soldiers from the army.
