SHNU, Feb. 3: The chilly weather reigned after the snow, but warmth and festive atmosphere filled Taoli Restaurant, where over 230 students of our university gathered to enjoy the well prepared Lunar-New Year-Eve Dinner. Weng Tiehui, vice Party secretary of Shanghai Science and Education Commission, SHNU leaders Li Jin, Jiang Weiyi, Xiang Jiaxiang, Lu Jianfei, Li Hexing and Gao Jianhua joined the students and had the dinner together. Also present were student political instructors from colleges and heads of departments concerned. The leaders extended their New Year greetings to the students and through them to their parents, and encouraged them to study hard. They also gave New Year gifts to every student there. A pocket of lucky money, a telephone card, a gift parcel, a free bath, free TV programs on Feb. 6, and free dinners from the evenings of Feb. 6 to Feb.9, such are considerate arrangements of our university for nearly 200 graduate students, 35 undergraduate students and 6 Korean students who are staying on campus over the Spring Festival. |
