From November 8th to 9th, the 2025-2026 Shanghai College Students Taekwondo Championship successfully came to a close at the Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance. Organized by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and hosted by the Shanghai Sports Associationfor College Students, the Shanghai Sports Associationfor Secondary School Students , and Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance, with the collaboration of the Taekwondo Branch of the Shanghai College Students Sports Association, the event attracted nearly 600 athletes from over 30 universities across the city.
The SHNU Taekwondo team fielded 20 athletes in the competition. After two days of intense rivalry, they achieved an outstanding record of 6 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals. This marks not only the first time that students from our Sports Training program have formed a team to participate in the Shanghai University Taekwondo Championship, but also sets a new historical record for SHNU in this event.
