06 Jan 2008

SHNU: The selection of volunteers from Shanghai for the 29th Olympics was made in our university from Jan. 4 to Jan. 5. Altogether 238 volunteers (including 10 students of SHNU) from 23 colleges and universities went through physical exams and interviews. Those who were selected would serve as volunteers in Beijing Olympics.

The 238 volunteers came to the fore among 10,000 applicants, and finally 100 of them would be chosen.

The selection was hosted by Shanghai Commission of Communist Youth League (CYL) of China and co-sponsored by the CYL Commission and College of Physical Education of SHNU. The hard work of 30 teachers and students of the College of Physical Education of our university ensured the smooth progress of the selection.
