On December 27, the newly-built SHNU Overseas Students’ Center witnessed the 12th visit from TOSS delegation to our university. Lu Jianfei, Vice President of SHNU, and some teachers who paid a mutual visit to Japan last November attended the reception.
TOSS is short for Teacher’s Organization of Skill Sharing, acting as the largest non-state-owned organization for teachers. Most members are teachers from middle schools and primary schools pioneering in Japanese education. The purpose of TOSS is to render opportunities for teachers to have mutual exchanges in teaching experiences and modes of instruction. The history of mutual visits between SHNU and TOSS dates back to mid 1990s’, when the both parties began an annually mutual visit which has contributed a lot to strengthening the friendship between peoples of the two countries. During their stay in Shanghai, TOSS also visited the Experimental School Attached to SHNU, and delivered a speech to students there on environmental protection. |
