Fengxian Campus Stages Special Performance ‘Song of the Ocean’

SHNU: On October 28th, a special performance ‘Song of the Ocean’ by SHNU Student Dancing Troupe was Staged in the Grand Theatre of Fengxian Campus. Leaders from Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, SHNU Party Secretary Zhou Honggang and President Li Jin watched the dance.
    Student dancers performed 13 dances, among which 9 were shown to the public for the first time. ‘We dance to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the troupe and the 55th anniversary of SHNU,’ said Zheng Huihui, head of the dancing troupe.
    All the dances are of the aesthetic value and meaningful. Group dancing ‘The Door’ shows us vividly the difficult situation of graduate students looking for jobs and ‘1937’ reminds the audience of those dark history that happened in Nanjing. The last dance ‘Bloom Paean’ impresses the audience with a brilliant image of the young people of the 21st century, extolling their bright future.
Leaders highly appreciated the performance and took photos with the cast after the show.
    Co-sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and SHNU, SHNU Dancing Troupe is the first university dance group in Shanghai. From campus to theater, the Dance Troupe is active in taking part in more than 400 performances and has organized 10 dancing shows.
