Economists Gather in SHNU to Discuss Financial Crisis and Sino-American Trade Relations

    SHNU: The 2009 Sino-American Economic Association and “American Financial Crisis and Sino
-American Trade Relations” Symposium was held on October 24. 80 experts from 40
institutions of higher education, research and financial institutes attended the symposium.
    SHNU Vice President Li Hexing delivered an opening speech, in which he expressed
gratitude for the participation of economic experts and scholars from both home and abroad
and pointed out the significance of the symposium.
    Centering on the theme of the symposium, attendants probed into such issues as the
financial crisis and Sino-American cooperation, economic policy of Obama government and
economic trend of America, new trends and problems in Sino-American relations, etc.
    The symposium was co-sponsored by Sino-American Economic Association and Finance College of
SHNU.
