Cultural Lectures Delivered in Fukuyama to Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of PRC

SHNU: In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC, two lectures on Chinese culture were delivered in the Art Museum situated in Fukuyama Confucius Institute on October 3 and 4.  Zhang Xin, associate professor of the College of Fine Arts of SHNU, was invited to lecture on the art of seal cutting.
    The lecture belonged to one of the serial cultural lectures SHNU has arranged in overseas Confucius Institutes. Zhang expounded the history, schools and masterpieces of seal cutting, and instructed the audience to do the seal cutting themselves.
    With fluent Japanese and vivid description, Zhang’s lecture attracted large number of audience who stayed through the three-hour lecture.
     On the red scroll outside the lecture hall was written “Warmly Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of PRC”, and relevant picture exhibition inside the museum drew the attention of the Japanese audience, who highly praised the accomplishments China had made in the past 6 decades since its founding.
