SHNU: Experts and scholars from The Commercial Press and universities including Sun Yat-sen University, Nanjing Normal University and other 5 universities in Shanghai gathered in SHNU to attend the 1st Symposium on Chinese Teaching for Special Purposes on Sept. 26. Chinese Teaching for Special Purposes, or CTSP, is geared to different needs of foreign learners who study Chinese as a second language. The symposium lasted for a whole day, in which experts and scholars had heated discussions on such topics as characteristics of CTSP, organization of CTSP, as well as the making of syllabus and editing of teaching materials.
