SHNU Alumnus, Special Assistant of New York State Governor visits Alma Mater

SHNU: SHNU alumnus George Hu Siyuan paid a visit to SHNU and gave his best wishes for his alma mater on Sept. 21. SHNU vice presidents Lu Jianfei and Wang Lianhua received the guest.
    Hu began his study in SHNU in 1977 and left Shanghai for America to pursue further education in 1979. He was now the special assistant of New York Governor Eliot Splizer and in charge of Asian affairs. 
    Hu talked about his life and study in SHNU and what he had experienced in the U.S. He also mentioned the Wenchuan Earthquake last year, after which he made it possible for 150 students from the quake-hit areas to study in New York State University for a year. Lu and Wang introduced the university and its interscholastic cooperation with universities in New York.
    At the end of the talk, Hu wrote down his best wishes for the 55th birthday of SHNU with deep feeling on the visitor’ s book.
