SHNU: September 11th to 13th saw the assembling of over 50 representatives in the field of academic journals and various universities from Shanghai and Japan to compare notes on International Symposium on Social Patterns and Civilization History of Ancient and Medieval Times .
Participants probed the development trends of the relevant disciplines, and possibility of more progress made by SHNU. 38 papers were received by the organizing committee, with the focus on the transition of social patterns, development and reforms of politics, economy and culture, explanation of newly-discovered historical records.
