SHNU: From August 24 to 27, 120 experts and scholars from different regions of China gathered in SHNU to attend the 2009 Symposium of China-World Middle Ages History Seminar. SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei and Hou Jianxin, Chairman of the seminar made speeches in the opening ceremony. During the three-day seminar, scholars centered on such topics as formation of early western systems and capitalism civilization, new perspective of figures in middles ages, and original documents and master pieces of the middle age. Keynote speeches were made by experts in this field. Attendants of the seminar submitted over 60 academic papers and three SHNU teachers were among the winners of academic awards of young scholars. （Edited by Jessica）
