SHNU: On August 14, the closing ceremony of the 4-week 2009 SGS (Shanghai Government Scholarship) Summer Class was held in the International Student’s Center of SHNU. The 21 members of the class were from Pusan and Cheju of Korea, among which 19 were teachers who taught Chinese, and 2 were working staff of Pusan Government. As all of them have mastered the fundamentals of the Chinese language, aside from advanced Chinese classes aimed to improved listening and speaking, SHNU considerately arranged such courses as Chinese Language Teaching, Teaching of Chinese Characters to promote their teaching ability. Vice Director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission Zhang Minxuan, SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei and consul of Consulate-general of Korea in Shanghai attended the ceremony. The leaders spoke to express their good wills and issued the certificates for the 21 trainees, who read Chinese poems, performed tongue twisters and sang Chinese songs after the ceremony.
