SHNU: Alan Shapiro, dean of Department of Classic Studies of the Johns Hopkins University, was invited to speak at the SHNU Xuesihu Overseas Masters’ Forum, with the theme of Women and Religion in Ancient Greece. Lu Jianfei, SHNU Vice President, attended the forum.
Once a guest professor of Columbia University and senior researcher of Munich University, Oxford University, American Research Academy in the US, and German Research Association of Archaeology, Prof. Shapiro enjoys a world-renowned reputation in ancient Greek arts, fairy tales, and religion etc., with 13 translated works, and almost 100 papers in a number of authoritative journals of the field.
