SHNU: On April 13, Professor Mary E. John, Head of the Centre for Women’s Development Studies of India, paid a visit to SHNU. SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei received the guests and extended the university’s best wishes. Lu gave a brief introduction of SHNU as well as its College of Women's Culture. Professor John also introduced the center and its research achievements in women’s studies. The two sides discussed the possibility of further academic exchanges on Feminism. In the afternoon, Prof. John delivered a lecture entitled “Crisis of Capitalism: Responding to Globalization and Feminism from the Perspective of India”. The lecture analyzed a series of issues that the Indian women encountered in the course of capitalist development and globalization. (Edited by Jessica)
